What is Airsoft?

Well, what exactly is airsoft and what is the point...well the point is FUN! Airsoft is defined as a modern combat sport or recreational hobby in which participants eliminate opponents by hitting each other with spherical non-metallic pellets launched from a compressed-air gun powered by gas, manual spring-load, or an electrically powered gearbox. Sounds pretty cool huh? Well you don't even know the half of it, take a look at the guns!!

Pretty cool if you ask me...the vast assortment of various guns seems to draw most people into it...where else can you get a replica of an M-16 or a Bazooka that actually works...it shoots pellets, but still looks really awesome. Airsoft competitors and enthusiasts often organize meetings, both indoors and outdoors, at dedicated battlefields to play a variety of games ranging from short-term skirmishes, organized scenarios, military simulations and even historical reenactments. The combat situations often involve military tactics to achieve the objectives set in each game...sounds like ever man's fantasy, right? This stuff is definitely fun, give it a try sometime.
